Our Provision

Welcome to
Woolston 6th Form College!

Woolston Sixth Form College educates and supports young people aged 16–19 who have a range of additional needs, including severe learning difficulties, complex learning difficulties, and profound and multiple learning difficulties.

We offer a 38-week academic year, providing a full timetable Monday to Friday from 8:55 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. Our students transition from Fox Wood School, Green Lane School, other Warrington schools, and some nearby Local Authorities.

Our vision for the college is to nurture and develop students’ potential, preparing them for life. We support students to achieve their personal aims and targets with as much independence as possible. We offer a range of accredited courses from Open Awards to help develop functional skills, life skills, and employability skills. Our students also participate in creative sessions, fitness and wellbeing sessions, and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, all of which incorporate community learning.

On a personal note, I am enormously proud to be part of the continued development of our college. It is a privilege to work with all the students, parents, staff, and governors. The success of the college is derived from a very enthusiastic and dedicated team of staff. We are fully committed to providing the highest quality provision for all our students and work together in a supportive, caring, community atmosphere.
