Additional Facilities and Programmes used within the Curriculum

ICT equipment is widely used throughout the school to support the pupils across the curriculum. ICT includes computing skills, use of appropriate websites, specialist software packages, Eye Gaze, iPads, switches to access equipment, communication equipment, sensory floor, Prowise tablet. 


Our younger pupils and those with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities use the hydrotherapy pool in school, and our Key Stage 2, 3 and 4 pupils participate in swimming lessons at Woolston Hub. We also have two school minibuses which are used to provide our pupils with a wide variety of additional experiences including swimming, educational visits to places of interest, residential experiences. We promote outdoor education and make good use of community facilities nearby including the sensory centre, library, local gym, local shops and cafes.
