Monitoring School Performance

All of our pupils have a half termly Individual Educational Programme (IEP) which covers the 4 areas linked to their Education Health and Care Plan and aims to promote access to the curriculum:
  • Communication / Social Interaction
  • Cognition / Flexibility of Thought
  • Physical / Sensory
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health
The IEPs are sent home and shared with parents/carers and the Person Centred Annual Review is held in the autumn or spring term.

Progress targets are set for each individual pupil by skilled staff who know the pupils extremely well.  At Fox Wood we have high expectations for all of our pupils and our targets reflect this.  Throughout the year, we regularly assess our pupils using the B Squared assessment system.  Additional assessment information is also used in order to provide an assessment and summary of all of the strengths of our pupils.  At the end of year 2 and year 6, pupils are assessed against the Pre-key Stage Standards, this information is shared with the Local Authority.

It is important for us to keep parents/carers updated about the progress their child is making.  Evidence for Learning is used across the school as an 'online learning journal'.  Parents/carers can access this journal at any time to see their child's learning activities.

Individual B Squared summary sheets are also shared with parents/carers in February and July.
