Blue Class

Welcome to the homepage for Blue Class

Blue class are a busy, fun, and engaging class where we love to get hands-on and explore through sensory and practical learning experiences! We particularly enjoy accessing Outdoor Learning and taking part in lots of fun activities in class including Attention Autism sessions and a wide range of activities that encourage curiosity, communication and confidence.
Throughout the year our lessons are linked to termly topics, which help us to make connections across the curriculum.
Our topics this year are: Festivals, Around the World and Our Community.

We are a class of 9 wonderful pupils!
Our teacher is Jenna and our amazing teaching assistants are Steve, Nathan and Ella.

We are looking forward to an exciting year of learning, achievement and new experiences!!
We can't wait to get started and continue to grow, developing our independence and celebrating successes this year in Blue Class!

Home School Dairies

We ask families and carers to return the Home School diary each day, as this will enable the class staff to provide comments and information about you child's day in school. If there are particular things you wish to be informed about, please speak with the class teacher.

Individual Education Plans

These set out the priority targets that your child is working on for the term; these targets are linked to the overarching targets set out in your child's EHCP. IEPs are updated each half term and sent home. If there is anything that you would particularly like us to be working on, please just let us know.

Sensory Swimming & PE

Swimming sessions can change each half term - we are not down for swimming in Autumn 1.

Please check the class timetable for updates to the swimming schedule .

Swim kits must be sent in for your child to be able to go swimming. If the correct kit is not provided unfortunately your child will not be able to go in the pool and will be provided with an alternative activity.

PE for Autumn 1 will be on Tuesday afternoon- PE sessions can change each half term so please check the class timetable.

PE kits can be sent in at the start of each half term and will be returned to you at the end of the half term. If you would like your child's PE kit to be sent home each week, please let us know.

PE kits should include; a t-shirt, shorts or joggers/leggings and comfortable shoes, pumps or trainers.
