Gold Class

"GOLD, always believe in your soul..."

              Welcome to Gold Class!

We are a lovely, inquisitive class made up of 7 pupils in Key Stage 3. We really enjoy practical learning and extra-curricular activities, but also love the structure and routine of our Daily Basic Phonics and Number lessons.

Our teacher is Jenny, and our Teaching Assistants are Briony, Debbie and Jo (on Fridays). We are really looking forward to the adventures this year will bring, building positive relationships along the way!

We will share what we get up to on Facebook and EfL, so please make sure you're checking these to stay up to date!

IMPORTANT CLASS INFORMATION

Home School Dairies

We ask families and carers to return the Home School diary each day, as this will enable the class staff to provide comments and information about your child's day in school. If there are particular things you wish to be informed about, please speak with the class teacher. We aim to write in these books at least 3 times per week.

Individual Learning Plans

These set out the priority targets that your child is working on for the term; these targets are linked to the overarching targets set out in your child's EHCP. ILPs are updated each half term to the student's needs. If there is anything that you would particular like us to be working on, please just let us know.

Swimming & PE

We will be swimming later on in the year on a Wednesday afternoon. Each week we ask you to send in your child's swimming kit, including swim pads if appropriate. These will be sent home after each session. PE lessons are also on a Wednesday (when we are not swimming) Please send in appropriate PE kit: T-Shirt/ sports top, shorts or joggers/leggings and comfortable shoes, pumps or trainers.

Class Funds

We kindly ask for a voluntary contribution of £1.50 a week towards our class snack funds. You can send your own snack in if you would prefer to do this for your child.
