Class 2

Welcome to Class 2!
We are a very sociable and active bunch who love exploring! We like to spend our time using our bodies to explore toys, resources and equipment both inside and outside. We enjoy our sessions in the Sensory Kingdom which help us to regulate our sensory needs and get ready to learn. Our class teacher is Shannon and our Teaching Assistants are Vicky & Lydia. We are very excited to see what this year brings and to make happy memories with our friends.

On Monday afternoons we have sensory swimming so please remember to send in swim kits.

You can help us by exploring and sharing a variety of books with your child at home.

We will be very happy to answer any questions that you may have this year and aim to write in the home school book as much as possible.

IMPORTANT CLASS INFORMATION

Home School Dairies

We ask families and carers to return the home-school diary each day, as this will enable class staff to provide comments and information about your child's day in school. If there are particular things you wish to be informed about, please speak with the class teacher.

Individual Education Plans

IEP's are priority targets that we choose for your child to work on for each half term; these targets are linked to the targets set out in your child's EHCP. IEPs are updated each half term and sent home for parents to read over and sign. If there is anything that you would particularly like us to be working on please let class staff know.

Sensory Swimming & PE

Due to our current Covid-19 policies Sensory Swimming sessions are not running at this time.

PE sessions can change each half term so please check the class timetable. PE kits can be sent home at the start of each half term and will be returned to you at the end of the half term. If you would like your child's PE kit to be sent home each week please let us know.

Class Funds

We kindly ask for a voluntary contribution of £1.50 a week towards our class snack funds. You can send your own snack in if you would prefer to do this for your child.
